While Tencent has been facing a lot of issues in publishing PUBG in many countries and facing a huge loss, the company has also been making major leads in other games published by them. As per the recent news, the game “Honor of Kings“, from Tencent which is their flagship video game has recorded 100 million daily active users worldwide and is soon planning to expand it with a tie-up with British luxury group Burberry. At the same time, the company has also been facing a lot of challenges when it comes to its smartphone version of the “League of Legends” game.
The game is currently being tested in Asia. As per the official statement from the General Manager of Tencent, “We are going to expand how players can interact with the Honor of King’s world and create a multi-dimensional brand experience that drives engagement both inside the game and outside it. This could include anime, films, music, and even live-action series,“. The company is also planning to launch two other games which will expand the existing “Honor of Kings” game into two other genres, giving the player a wide spectrum to play on.
The game has also been the top-grossing on Android stores with around $240 million of user spending. The company is already working on many new projects and is soon going to launch a few China-specific games in the market as well. With the current development, the company has already represented 87% growth from September 2019.
