Rumors of two more Redmi 9 series phones have been in the air for a long time now. Initially, it was expected that there could be three new models that could be launched by the end of the year. However, it has been now confirmed that the two new models that will be launched are Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The news is now confirmed thanks to the TENAA listings of both devices. The listing also provides the hardware specs for the phone which shows that both the phones will have power-packed performance.
While Redmi Note 9 5G comes with a Mediatek processor, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will be expected to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, although both the models will have 5G capabilities. The Redmi Note 9 5G has a model number M2007J22C and the image hints towards a polycarbonate body for the phone. The model is expected to be powered by octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC and will have three different variants having 4,6, and 8GB RAM. When it comes to storage options, it will have a 64,128 and 256 GB variant.
The phone will have a 6.3 inch LCD full HD display and also a 5,000mAh battery capacity. The phone could also have a triple camera setup on the rear with a 4MP sensor and a 13MP front snapper. When it comes to Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, with model number M2007J17C, it can be powered using the Snapdragon 750G and will be using 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone will also have a triple camera setup with a 108MP camera sensor, along with a 16MP front camera. The model could come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and will be launched initially in the Chinese market.
