Qualcomm is all set to release its new Snapdragon 875 chipset by the end of the year, in the month of December 2020. Before the final release, the company is trying to test the chipset at various settings and specs to get the maximum performance from the same. Now as per the leaked details by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station another benchmark results have been shared for the Snapdragon 875 chipset, which is said to be a prototype.
The benchmark shows the name of the chipset with the codename “Lahaina“, which is a place in Hawaii, where the company will be announcing and sharing details about the chipset in December. The benchmark shows the score as 899,401 points which are higher than the first AnTuTu score for the chipset, which was 847,868. The chipset has also scored a CPU score of 333,246 points and a GPU score of 342,225 points. When it comes to the memory test, the score came out to be 98,772 while the storage test for the chipset came out to be 125,135.
Now since this is a prototype for the chipset, it might be possible that the final version of the chipset that will be used in the smartphones, might have slightly lower performance than this version. It has already been tipped that the new chipset will be used in Mi 11, which will be the first smartphone to feature it. Apart from that, the chipset will also feature in the new Samsung Galaxy S21 series which will be launched in January 2021.
