After the announcement of the Redmi K30S was made for the Chinese market, people were already excited to buy the smartphone and the same showed in its first online sale. The phone was completely sold out within a minute of opening and led to a booking of 100,000 units. The details were made public by Zeng Xuezhong, vice president of Xiaomi, and president of the smartphone department. The phone was made available to purchase on November 1, at the price tag of a discounted price of 2,299 yuan ($343) instead of 2,599 yuan ($388).
With this, the Redmi K30S becomes the lowest priced phone in the market which is powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset. The experts did mention that the phone will not be a big hit for the company, but the sales figure broke all the records denying that expert advice. The company has announced that there is a shortage in the supply of phones. However, people who were unable to buy the phone on November 1, will get another chance to buy it on November 4, which would be the second sale for the handset.
The phone has a 6.67-inch full screen with a resolution of FHD+ and is powered by Snapdragon 865. It also uses LPDDR5 memory and a UFS 3.1 flash storage. The phone has 20MP front-facing camera with a triple camera setup of 64MP main camera + 13MP ultra wide-angle + 5MP macro sensor. It comes with MIUI 12 and a 5,000mAh battery capacity.
