WhatsApp has been working on multi-device support for a long time where users will be able to use WhatsApp on multiple devices at the same time. They are now releasing the multi-device support feature to the beta version of the app for some testers to make it more stable and checkout for any bugs and issues remaining. The main feature that will be added through this is that the users will be able to use the WhatsApp Web, WhatsApp Desktop and Portal on the main phone without any kind of internet connection.
The Facebook-owned company has also confirmed that they have been rolling out the feature to beta testers partially and might take time before it reaches all the users. It might also be possible that the WhatsApp account is not eligible for the same. It does suggest that the company is thinking about launching the stable version of the feature very soon. If you want to check out whether the feature has been activated on your device or not, then you can simply go to WhatsApp settings and check if there is a new setting option of “Multi-device” instead of WhatsApp Web or Desktop.
If the option is available, then the users can join the beta program from WhatsApp. WhatsApp has been working on a lot of new features and they will soon be launched in the coming months as a stable version for global users. Until then, we will have to wait until the bugs are resolved and then released as a global stable version.
