Oppo has launched a new smartphone in the European market, which is a rebranded version of Oppo Reno 5Z 5G. The new smartphone is Oppo A94 5G. The European market already has a smartphone with the name Oppo A94, but it only supports the 4G network. In order to increase the 5G smartphone offering in the market, the phone comes with the same specification, but with 5G network support.
The phone is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 800U SoC and has been priced at EUR 359. The price is for the 8GB/128GB variant and will be offered in two different colors, Cosmo Blue and Fluid Black. The phone will have the same camera setup and specification as Reno 5Z 5G and will be made available on sale from May 3. The main USP of the phone is the slim design form, which makes it look really attractive. The phone will be running on ColorOS 11.1, which is skin-based on the Android 11 platform.
It will also come with an AMOLED display of 6.4-inch size and a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary camera sensor. It will carry 30W VOOC flash charging technology with a 4,310 mAh battery and will have all the connectivity options. However, at a price tag of EUR 359, it seems that the camera sensor could have been changed to 64MP, as it is something all smartphone manufacturers are offering at this price point. Apart from that, DImensity 800U is a good mid-range chipset that provides good performance and great battery life due to optimization.
