OnePlus is getting ready to launch a new smartphone, which is going to be a limited edition and available only in a limited quantity. The phone is expected to be from the Nord 2 family and has been hinted at by the company through a lot of cryptic tweets. The tweets from the company include retro graphics and fruits, so we can expect the shades of the smartphone to be something similar. It has also been rumored that the phone could be a limited edition Pac-man edition.
The limited-edition smartphone will not come with a lot of changes in the internal specs apart from the processor. Where the Nord 2 5G was powered using the Mediatek Dimensity 1200 chipset, the new limited edition is expected to be powered using the Snapdragon 778 SoC. The company has not provided any details if there will be a difference in the performance, but we do expect to see that as well. The Pac-Man-themed smartphone will have the same body design and camera setup with the changes in paint job as per the theme.
The phone comes with similar configurations like a 6.43-inch full HD+ Fluid AMOLED screen and a 90Hz refresh rate support. The phone will also come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The rear comes with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor in a triple camera setup and a 32MP selfie camera in the front. This smartphone will also be running on Android 11 out of the box and is expected to launch this month or in the first week of December.
