Asus ROG series smartphones are known to be one of the best gaming smartphones in the industry. A recent leak on the internet claims to show what appears to be the 2D renders of the Asus ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro variants. Both the smartphones are still under development and no launch date for the same has been announced. However, the recent leaks indicate that the next generation gaming smartphone is going to be very similar in design when compared to Asus ROG Phone 5.
The renders only show the rear side of the smartphone, which shows a horizontal camera unit along with a triple camera setup. The overall design only has a few changes compared to the last generation. Another change noticed is the secondary display on the rear which seems to be a little bigger than before. It is speculated that the company could be launching the smartphone in the second quarter of this year, and might be powered using the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
The phone is also expected to come with a new display technology which would provide a much more deep and rich experience while gaming. The last generation Asus ROG Phone 5 came with a 6.78-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED display and Snapdragon 888 chipset. It was also powered using 18GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage. While it can retain a few features from the ROG 5 series, we can expect a lot of new things that will improve the gaming experience on the smartphone.
