Redmi K40 is going to be launched soon by Xiaomi and the details for the smartphone have already been leaked in the market. The latest report reveals that the phone has been spotted on the Geekbench platform with model numbers M2012K11AC and M2012K11C, which is probably the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro smartphones. Both the smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 888, which was promised by the Redmi as their first flagship device. While the pro model is expected to be powered using the SD888 processor, the Redmi K40 can be powered using the SD 870 chipset.
Some reports also suggest that the smartphone could be launched with Mediatek Dimensity 1100 or 1200 chipset in certain countries depending on the market. Now, the Redmi K40 has appeared on Geekbench, confirming a lot of details. The details mentioned on Geekbench stated a 1.80GHz Qualcomm processor, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 11 OS. So it can be confirmed that the phone will be coming with a Qualcomm processor. The listing also shows that the processor could achieve a maximum speed of 3.19GHz and can be featuring an SD 870 series chipset.
It scored 1016 points in the single-core test and it recorded a score of 3332 in the multi-core test. Other revealed details in the past confirmed that the phone will have a 6.6-inch Samsung AMOLED E4 display with a top-centered selfie camera cutout, a Full HD+ resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, it will be using a 4,520mAh battery with 33W fast charging technology. The smartphones are expected to go live in China on February 25, with no official confirmation about the launch in the international market.
