Xiaomi has finally launched their much-awaited new flagship smartphone in China named Xiaomi 12. The smartphone has been launched in three variants of Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro. The smartphones have been launched initially in the Chinese market and will soon be launched in other global markets as well. This is the first premium flagship series from the company which has ditched the Mi branding. The first smartphone in the series, Xiaomi 12 comes with a 6.28 inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, with the support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also comes within-display fingerprint reader and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
It has been powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and runs on a 4,500 mAh battery which supports 67W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. The rear gets a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP telephoto lens. The front gets a 32MP selfie camera. It comes with features like UFS 3.1 storage, 5G, NFC, WiFi 6E, and more. It also has Dolby Atmos stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio. The Xiaomi 12X is a more affordable version of the Xiaomi 12 and has the same features as well. The only difference is the processor, which is Snapdragon 870.
Lastly, the Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a 6.73-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with 1,500 nits peak brightness and 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. The phone also supports a 480Hz touch sampling rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. It comes powered with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and has up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the rear, there are three camera sensors of 50MP each as primary, portrait, and ultra-wide. The front gets the same 32MP selfie camera sensor. The phone comes with a 4,600 mAh battery and support for 120W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging with 10W reverse wireless charging support. All three variants come exclusively with MIUI 13 but there are no details on the confirmed pricing of the smartphone.
