A few days back, Qualcomm announced their new series of smartphone chipsets, which was the Snapdragon 480. It was supposed to be a more affordable chipset, aimed to provide the users with a 5G connectivity feature. Now Vivo is all set to launch their new smartphone Y31s, which is going to be the first smartphone in the market with this chipset. The Y31s comes with a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display and has an FHD+ resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The front display also comes with a waterdrop notch which also holds the 8MP selfie camera. The rear houses a dual-camera setup and a led flash, where the primary sensor is 13 MP along with a 2MP depth sensor. The Vivo Y31s supports both mmWave and Sub-6 GHz 5G networks. Qualcomm has confirmed that the new SD 480 chipset will increase the performance of both the CPU and GPU by two times when compared to the previous generation SD 460 chipset. Also, users will have the option of selecting between, 4/6GB RAM and will get 128GB of storage.
In terms of battery, the phone will have a 5,000 mAh battery capacity and 18W fast charging capabilities. It will be running the FunTouch OS 10.5 based on Android 11 and is offered in gray, gradient, and red colors. The phone is expected to cost $232 for the 4GB RAM version and $263 for the 6GB RAM version. The memory on both remains the same. Looking at the specs, it would be a great and affordable phone with 5G technology.
