According to recent reports, the Tecno Camon 20 series is currently in development and is expected to be released soon as the successor to last year’s Camon 19 lineup. The new series will consist of two phones, namely the Camon 20 and the Camon 20 Pro. These devices have been generating a lot of buzzes online lately, and they recently made an appearance on the Google Play console and the supported device list with some key specifications.
Although only two models are currently listed on the Google Play Console, the Pro model seems to have two variants, one with model number TECNO-CK6n and the other with TECNO-CK7n. All three phones feature a center-punch hole display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and 480 DPI screen density. They are also expected to come with 8GB of RAM and run the latest Android 13 software. While the display specifications are the same across all three models, other hardware specs are expected to be slightly different.
For instance, the Vanilla Camon 20 may come with the entry-level MediaTek MT6769V processor, which is likely to be the Helio G85. Interestingly, last year’s Camon 19 also featured the same SoC. On the other hand, the Tecno Camon 20 Pro with model number TECNO-CK6n is expected to come with the same processor as the Vanilla Camon 20, suggesting that it too will be a budget-friendly option.
In contrast, the Camon 20 Pro with model number TECNO-CK7n is listed to feature MediaTek MT6789 as its processor, which is none other than the Helio G99 SoC. This particular chipset is based on a 6nm process node and comes coupled with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. At this point, not much else is known about these three phones. However, we will be sure to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
