However, in the same market of expensive 5G smartphones, Samsung has introduced its most affordable one. The company has launched Galaxy A42 5G, which brings 5G band support and a quad-camera setup. The smartphone comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display and a waterdrop notch. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor which provides great performance to 5G enabled smartphones.
The phone will be available in three different variants of 4GB/128GB, 6G/128GB, and 8GB/128GB. The phone is fully feature-rich and has been packed with a lot of features as well. The rear comes with a quad-camera setup, which includes 48MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP depth sensor, 5MP macro lens. The front camera is a 20MP sensor and supports features like autofocus, portrait mode, and a lot more. The phone will come with a 5,000 mAh battery, which is now becoming a standard in many smartphones. It will be paired with 15W fast charging as well.
It will be based on Android 10 out of the box and will receive the Android 11 update as well. Additionally, the phone has an in-screen fingerprint sensor along with a USB-C slot for data transfer and charging. The phone will come in three colors, Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White, and Prism Dot Grey. Now the phone has been launched at GBP 349, which is around Rs 33,400 in the Indian market. As per the features, the phone has been set at a very competitive price and will surely put a lot of pressure on other phone manufacturers as well.
