Reliance Jio entered the Indian market with the cheapest 4G mobile network plans and has completely changed the way the telecom industry works. After dominating the telecom market, the company went on to create their own smartphones which could be bundled with Jip mobile network. Now the company is all set to launch another device which would be launched with the brand name of Jio. They are currently working on a low-cost laptop called the “JioBook”, which is said to be working on a similar type of OS like Android.
The notebook will be 4G LTE ready and will have a lot of common features like the Jio apps. The laptop seems to be the right kind of device offering from the company for customers who are looking to purchase a low-cost, yet powerful notebook device. As per the details that have been leaked by XDA developers, Jio is partnering with Chinese manufacturer Bluebank Communication Technology for building the JioBook. The same company also helped Jio to manufacture Jio phones in the past. As per the leaked details, Jio started working on the JioBook in September last year and the device is expected to be launched in the first half of 2021.
An image of the same has also been leaked online which shows the laptop in the final development stage and almost ready to use. The JioBook could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, which is based on the current prototype, the company is testing. Also, it will come with eMMC storage of 32GB which can be expanded, and 2GB of RAM. Another variant of the same is expected to have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
