Redmi is going to hold a launch event on October 28, which will be the platform for the new Redmi Note 11 series. However, recent leaks have also suggested that the same event will also be the launchpad for Redmi Watch 2. The company has already provided a couple of leaks for the smartwatch through various posts and now a new leak on the JD.com website reveals that the smartwatch will be priced at $63 only. Clicking on the product page on the website shows the products are yet to be announced.
The company has been able to hide a lot of details about the smartwatch till now, but the available information teased by them confirms that the smartwatch will come with a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a better screen-to-body ratio. The screen would be a big upgrade from the 1.4-inch LCD screen which was a part of the smartwatch in the first generation. Although it has been named as a smartwatch, it is supposed to be more of a fitness tracker and could be running a customized version of OS from Xiaomi.
The Watch 2 is expected to come with almost all types of sensors like the SPo2, in-built GPS, multiple sports modes, water, and dust resistance, sleep monitoring, heart rate sensor, and more. The Watch would be released in three color variants of Elegant Black, Space Blue, and Ivory. The launch of Watch 2 is only a few days from now and new users can expect the company to provide a big upgrade in the device in terms of battery life and performance.
