Oppo has been launching a lot of new smartphones in the market and this time it’s the Oppo A55 which is the latest offering in the budget segment. The phone has been launched at a price tag of Rs 15,490 and claims to provide great value for money. The phone comes with a 6.51-inch screen, which is HD+ and is powered using a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. The phone will be available with 6GB RAM variants and storage options of 128GB.
The camera unit on this phone is a triple camera setup which Oppo claims to provide the best performance in its category. The primary sensor is 50MP, along with a 2MP portrait sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. In the front, the company has placed a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calls. It does provide the users with expandable memory options with a microSD card slot. The phone is powered using a 5,000 mAh battery and also supports 18W of fast charging. It will be running Android 11 out of the box, with ColorOS 11.1 skin.
The phone seems to have a good build quality and the overall specifications are also great. However, the processor seems to be a bad selling point for this phone. At this price range, there are a lot of other smartphones that provide a much better processor than this. Some even provide Mediatek Helio G85 processors in the same price bracket. Therefore, if there is one thing that we would have liked to improve in it, it would have been the processor.
