Oppo has today announced the launch of their new smartphone, the Oppo A16. The phone is the direct successor to Oppo A15 and will be priced at an affordable price tag of Rs 13,990. The phone will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of minimum storage. The two color options that the company is providing are Crystal Black and Pearl Blue. In terms of specifications, the phone comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. It will be powered using the MediaTek Helio G35 processor. and will have up to 128GB of storage.
When it comes to the price and the processor used in the phone, Oppo could have done a little better as many other offerings in the same budget are providing a much powerful processor than this. On the rear, the phone comes with a dual-camera setup where the primary sensor will be 13MP, along with a 2MP secondary sensor. His phone will run on Android 11 out of the box with ColorOS UI. In terms of battery, it will be powered using a 5,000 mAh battery and will have a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
Overall, the phone seems to be an option for people who are looking for a smartphone from Oppo in the affordable category. However, the overall specs of the smartphone seem to be a little weak against the competition in a similar category. The phone would be great in day-to-day usage, but it might lag in terms of gaming and multitasking in long time usage.
