Microsoft Windows has been rolling out regular updates for their Windows 10 Operating system, which is meant to optimize the looks and performance for the user. The company has recently released yet another update, which is the Windows 10 20H2 update. Windows 10 has been a big change ever since it was released in 2015 and since then the approach to the OS has been different than what it used to be before.
Where most of the updates for an earlier version of Windows was focused more on security and performance optimization, the updates for Windows 10 has been more focused on adding new improvements, features, and UI design. Previous Windows 10 updates have also brought in a lot of UI improvements to the OS. However, the new Windows 10 20H2 update adds a new significant update to Windows 10 Start menu. Now, we have more minimalist tiles and icons that are single-colored and semi-transparent. It has completely removed the colorful tiles from the Start menu.
Also, the menu can be customized with the dark and light theme, along with more customized colors from the Settings menu. You can also change the refresh rate for display from settings, change notifications, an additional feature of Collections to Microsoft Edge, and a lot more. You can add the update to your OS as well through the Windows update and for that you need to be running at least Windows 10 version 1903 for the update to show up. Also, the update might show up later for some users.
