In the world of a pandemic where social distancing and face mask is a must, LG has understood the need of the consumers and has announced a new type of facemask. Named as the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier face mask, it is one of a kind and the first mask in the category to also act as an air purifier. Ever since the pandemic, there has been a huge shortage of face masks in the entire globe. To address the issue, the company has introduced these air purifier masks that can be reused again and again.
The mask has a dual fan and a respiratory sensor. The air purifier will purify the incoming air, while the respiratory sensor will control the airflow. The air mask from LG will be showcased at the IFA 2020 in September and is expected to be on sale in the last quarter of the year. There has been no revelation on the pricing of the mask yet, as it would be revealed at the time of launch. As per the details given by the company themselves, the face mask will have two H13 HEPA filters to purify the air.
Also, the dual fans that have been integrated into the mask will have three levels of speed, which the sensor will automatically adjust to reduce resistance while exhaling. The sensor will also detect the cycle and volume of the wearer’s breath, and adjust the available fans. The mask will have a case that comes in bundled when purchased. The case will be used to recharge the mask and can also be linked with the mobile notification system for filter change reminder. The ear straps for the mask will also be replaceable and recyclable.
The case mask will also be great for people who feel suffocated or have difficulty breathing while using the mask, as the fans will maintain sufficient airflow and will exhale all the CO2 outside the mask.
