iQOO recently launched their new smartphone iQOO 9 in China earlier this week. At the launch event, the company did not announce the global availability of the phone, nor about its launch in India. However, the company today has officially announced that the smartphone iQOO 9 will soon launch in the Indian market. The announcement was made while announcing iQOO 7 Legend as the official smartphone for Battlegrounds Mobile India series ongoing finals. The company is yet to announce the exact date for the launch of the smartphone but it is expected that the smartphone will be launched in early February.

The phone has two variants which are iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. The smartphone is one of the few that has been powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and also supports 120W fast charging through the wire. Although, since the phone is launched as a premium smartphone, it will not be launched in India at an affordable rate as the previous smartphones from the company. The phone comes with a 6.78-inch LTPO 2.0 E5 AMOLED display and FHD+ resolution. It also supports HDR and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage as well and runs OriginOS out-of-the-box based on Android 12.
