Pixel devices were not easily available in India before, but with some changes to the phone by Google, the Google Pixel 4a has been finally launched in India. The phones have been launched two months after the phone was officially launched by Google in the US market. The global price for the phone was approximately $349, which turned out to be Rs 25,000. However, in India, the phones have been launched at the price tag of Rs 31,999 for the single variant of 6GB/128GB.
But for a limited period of time, the phone will be available at a discounted price of Rs 29,999. The phone is the successor to the popular Pixel 3a and has a hole-punch display with a square-shaped camera module in the rear. The phone will go on sale in India through Flipkart.com, which is one of the biggest e-commerce sites in India and will launch on 16 October. The phones run on Android 10 and will receive the Android 11 update as well. It has a 5.81 inch full HD OLED screen and comes with the powerful Qualcomm 730G SoC.
The main feature of the phone is the 12MP camera on the back, which might not look as attractive in terms of hardware, but the combination of the camera with Google’s software can beat the image quality of many flagship phones. The phones have connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and a USB Type-C port. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack.
