Biometric security is the new level of privacy and security features, which is used in almost all kinds of mobile and larger devices. It seems now even Google Chrome is adapting to the most secure way of protecting the data while on the internet. If you are using the Google Chrome browser on your Android smartphone to make necessary payments, then this news for you as a user is very important. Google chrome is adding biometric authentication to all the payment you make through the Google Chrome platform.
The upcoming feature will work on your Android smartphone and will use the fingerprint scanner for security. The user will have to enter the card details and the CVV number for the first time while setting it up. However, this is not a requirement from the second time onwards for subsequent transactions.
Google has also mentioned that the biometric data will be encrypted and will stay on the device. Therefore, users do not have to worry about the biometric data and payment details being sent on Google’s server. It is not the only feature that Google Chrome is working on.
They are also working on a new feature called touch to fill, which was earlier available in the beta version. Both touch to fill, and the biometric authentication feature will be rolling out to Google Chrome in the coming weeks as a stable update. Apart from this, the Google Chrome team is working on many new security patches and features to make the browsing experience of the user better and faster.
