Bad news came for Gmail users today as it seems that Gmail is completely down and the users are unable to send emails and attach files with it. The outage of Gmail was a peak at 12:00 PM and it reported more than 2700 users who were unable to use the services. A similar issue was also reported in Google Driver where it was found that the users were unable to upload or download files from the drives. Also, the drive sharing capability was not working properly.
As per the recent details, the issue seems to be more prominent in India, Australia, Japan, and other parts of the world. Google has already acknowledged the issue and has confirmed that the issue is already fixed for many users and is currently ongoing for the remaining ones. They have said that there is no time estimate for it right now, but they are trying to bring it back online as soon as possible. Google has also made an announcement that the following services along with Gmail are being checked for similar issues. The list of services being checked is Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Groups, Google Chat, Google Meet, Google Voice, and Google Keep.
It has been many hours since the outage started and many users are still unable to attach or send files to other users. The issue is not the first in the month and has happened twice with Gmail. Although Gmail is not confirming anything about the reason for the issue it is expected that the resolution will soon be found.
