Facebook News is a news service from Facebook which brings you global news on your smartphone. The company has now decided to launch the Facebook News services in the UK, Germany, France, India, and Brazil within the next six months to a year. The service will users different kinds of new publishing services and will pay them to post the news directly to the Facebook news platform, as soon as they happen. Now, this is subscription-based services and people will have to spend a certain amount each month for the same.
In an attempt to simplify it even further, the company is testing a new feature that will link your Facebook account with news subscription and you will be able to use the services with hitting the paywall or required to log in again. It will help to create a better experience for paying subscribers to the social networking platform. As per the test results of this feature in the beta stage, Facebook confirmed that the rate of following a publisher went from 34 to 97 percent.
The feature is already being checked and tested by many different publishers like Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Athletic, and the Winnipeg Free Press in the US. The news tab was launched in the US, in June with a dedicated local news section, including breaking news and alerts. Facebook has also confirmed that it has helped in bringing more traffic to the news articles than before and it will also give users the advance of getting to read exclusive news content.
