Gimbals have been a part of videography for a long time and their usage is very critical in getting stabilized videos and photos. Among the market of gimbal manufacturers, one name has always been considered as the best and that name is DJI. DJI has now announced two new gimbals for cameras, called the Ronin S 2 and Ronin SC 2. Both of them are three-axis gimbals and bring serious improvement over the last generation.
With both of these gimbals, you can expect to have stronger motors, compatibility to heavier payloads, and much lighter in weight. The company has also stated that the new gimbal will also come with many different software changes as well, which would make using it much easier. The RS 2 is made out of carbon fiber and supports a dynamic payload of 10lbs. The gimbals also come with a 1.4-inch touchscreen display and can be used to see and change the settings on the gimbal. It can also be used to track and see the live recording of the camera to know what the camera has actually been recording.
DJI has also introduced the new Titan Stabilization Algorithm, which would optimize the shooting style and cut down on the manual user input. The second software enhancement that has been added is the SuperSmooth technology for smoothing out the movements when shooting with a tighter lens. There are a lot of other tweaks that make the usage a lot easier and they are now also compatible with Arca Swiss & Manfrotto plates.
