CES 2021 day 2 saw a lot of announcements regarding new projects, concepts, and product launches. Some of these major announcements included the Asus ROG laptops, which are the ROG Flow X13, ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE, and Strix SCAR 17. The Flow X3 is an ultra-portable gaming laptop with a 360-degree hinge and is powered using the AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS processor paired with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. The ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE comes with the ROG ScreenPad Plus is powered using the MD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor paired with Nvidia GeForce GTX 3080 GPU.
Lastly, the ROG Strix SCAR 17 has a 360Hz refresh rate display panel with a 3 ms response time. It has been powered using the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor paired with 64 GB of dual-channel DDR-3200 MHz memory. At the same time, AMD unveiled its Ryzen 5000 series mobile which is based on the latest Zen architecture and provides unprecedented levels of performance and battery life for gamers. Lenovo has also selected the day to launch their new set of ThinkBooks, called the Plus Gen 2, ThinkBook 13x, ThinkBook 16p, and ThinkBook 14p laptops.
Starting from $849, these laptops will range up to $1,549. The event also saw the launch of the Fossil Gen 5 LTE smartwatch which has been priced at $349 and will support Verizonās 4G cellular connectivity. Another expected launch was the Samsung Exynos 2100 chipset based on the 5nm architecture. It is Samsungās first 5G-integrated mobile processor built on a 5nm EUV manufacturing process. Lastly, the major highlight was the flying car concept the eVTOL, or (electric) Vertical Takeoff and Landing droid by GM.
