In just a few hours, Apple is going to hold an online event called “Unleashed“, which is going to be the launchpad for their new MacBook Pro models. What is going to be new is the use of their next-generation powerful chipset in the new generation. Earlier, Apple stopped using the Intel chipsets for their devices and launched the new M1 chipset which was better in terms of performance as well as battery life. A few months back, the details were leaked that the next generation of chipsets from Apple would be called the M1 X.
However, the new information confirms that the company would be using two different variants of the chipsets which will be named the M1 Max and M1 Pro. These names are very similar to the variant name used in the iPhone, which indicates that the M1 Max would be a higher-performing chipset than M Pro. There are also reports that Apple could be launching a new and third chipset which would be the direct successor to M1 chipsets and would be named M2. The Mi Pro chipset is expected to come with a 16-core GPU while the M1 Max is expected to come with a 32-core GPU.
The company is expected to launch two new variants of the MacBook Pro which are 14-inch and 16-inch variants. Also, we can expect the new MacBook lineup to come with a new mini led display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The webcam is also expected to be upgraded to FullHD. They will also have a new charging mechanism, which is called MagSafe, and will be shipped with the new devices inside the box. There is no detail on the expected pricing, but all will be soon revealed in the launch today.
