Amazon did mention that the Indian market is of great importance when it comes to the growth of the company and India has a strong smartphone adoption and the growing purchasing power of its large population, which makes it the best place for the expansion of services. When it comes to the voice of Amitabh Bachan, the voice has been unique and popular over many years in India. Also, it is one voice that everyone can easily relate to and recognize immediately.
The voice will be available as an extra purchase for exiting Amazon Alexa users and even new ones. There is no clarity yet on how much Amazon will be charging for this or will it be a part of the global Alexa product. However, it can be possible that Amazon might use the same technique in other parts of the world, where they can use the voice of popular celebrities from the world to mimic the voice of Alexa’s assistant.
