A few days back Zoom offered the users a free video calling feature without any restriction on Thanksgiving to help them connect with their loved ones on this special day. Now Microsoft Teams have made an announcement as per which Microsoft Tea support for web and desktop will be rolled out soon with all-day free video calls for everyone. Microsoft Teams for the web would allow the users to add up to 300 users at one time in a single video call session.
The web version would also not need someone to have a Microsoft account and can join the video call as a guest. As per Microsoft, this would become one of the easiest ways for someone to communicate with friends and family and talk to each other through video calls whenever they like. Due to the pandemic, Microsoft Teams was being used by both professionals and people to connect with everyone. Due to the release of this feature the company is expected to get more and more users on their platform this Thanksgiving.
It seems to be a great market strategy by Microsoft Teams after Zoom made the announcement for restriction-free calls for the users on ThanksGiving. Other companies like Google Meet have still not lifted the restriction for the users and it seems they can also be announcing a similar strategy before thanksgiving for the users to attract them on their platform. No matter, which company does it, the user seems to be having the advantage here.
