Microsoft Surface devices are some of the best available on the Windows platform and the latest expected device from the company was Microsoft Surface Neo. On October 2, the company announced four new surface devices for consumers to buy, Surface Pro 7, Surface Laptop 3, Surface Duo, and Surface Neo. While Surface Pro 7, Surface Laptop 3, and Surface Duo are now available for purchase for the users, Surface Neo has been pushed back to the launch again in 2022. It seems to be a very big gap between the announcement and the launch of the product.
Surface Neo is one of the most expected devices by the consumer and with the finalized version of Windows 10X coming in Spring, the device was highly anticipated for launch. However, it seems that the device is facing some performance issues with the emulation of the Win32 app. With the new dates that have rumored up, the device can come up in Q4 of 2021 or even in early 2022. Another bad news for Microsoft fans is that the company is not planning to launch any kind of dual-screen device in the next year and one can only be seen in 2022.
This delay may be due to the finalizing of Windows 10X for dual-screen devices. Now when you visit the website page of Microsoft which listed Surface Neo, it has now been deleted and the page is redirected to Microsoft Home Page. There are multiple reasons suggested for delays, such as health and economic crisis, and even Windows 10X compatibility issues. Although the launch of the product has been delayed, it is unlikely we will see the product with the same hardware specs.
