We have already been through a lot of leaks and render images of the iPhone 13 till now and have a good enough idea about what to expect from Apple. Now, a new detail has been provided by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who has always provided reliable information about the upcoming iPhone smartphone. As per the new detail, the new iPhone 13 will be able to place satellite calls as well. If the details are right, then the users will be able to make calls and send messages in the areas where they are unable to due to lack of connectivity.
Due to this, making calls and sending messages from your iPhone will not be limited to areas with cellular connectivity. Infact, you will be able to connect with others from almost anywhere. As per the analyst, the company will be adding a customized Qualcomm X60 baseband chip that will connect directly to low orbit satellites. It is expected that the feature will most probably be a part of the Pro or Pro Max variant only.
As per the information already leaked online, Apple could be launching the new iPhone in the month of September with four variants which will be the iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. No announcements have been made by the company till now, but we will surely see the press invites in the coming days if it turns out to be true. For now, the iPhone working as a satellite phone does seem to be a feature that will make Apple stand out.
